A Caribou In Your K-Cup
Caribou Coffee has always had its cadre of devoted followers who enjoyed the bold flavors of its blends like Mahogany or its French Roast. Now, these roasts are available in K-Cups, which are designed for use with any Keurig Single Cup Coffee Maker. These small containers, reminiscent of individual coffee creamers, contain an exact portion of coffee, perfect for brewing one cup. These vacuum packed portions seal out moisture, light, and oxygen to maintain freshness.
Using A K-Cup
To make coffee with a Keurig brewer, fill reservoir with water, pop a K-Cup into the brewhead, press a button, and 30 to 60 seconds later, you have a fresh, steaming cup of coffee. There are several different models of Keurig single cup coffee makers available and they all have the same brewing mechanism. The price difference is determined by the additional features offered with each.
K-Cups Offer Variety
All of the Keurig machines, including the top of the line, the Breville, brew coffee in K-Cups. There are now over 200 different varieties of roasts and blends available in K-Cups from top notch roasters like Green Mountain, Timothy’s, Gloria Jean, Tully’s and The Coffee People. You can find Fair Trade coffees, single origin favorites, and specialty coffees like Newman’s Own Organic blends or Emeril’s Big Easy Bold. There are many luscious flavored coffees such as Bellaccino Swiss Chocolate Almond, Green Mountain’s Fair Trade Wild Mountain Blueberry, Gloria Jean’s Mudslide, Cinnamon Mocha or Butter Toffee.
In addition to coffees, there are K-Cups with teas from Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow, and Twinings. You’ll find cocoa from Bellaccino, Green Mountain’s Café Express Dark Chocolate, and a long time favorite from Timothy’s, White Hot Chocolate.
Caribou Coffee Blends In K-Cups:

The Mahogany Blend is a very popular, rugged roast with robust flavors of chocolate, spice, and molasses and a woodsy aroma. It is a blend of Rain Forest Certified coffees from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Sumatra.
The Daybreak Blend is a perfect eye-opener, with its energizing blend of Guatemalan, Costa Rican, and Colombian beans. There’s just a hint of chocolate from Ethiopia and a cup of Daybreak Blend is a great way to start the day.

Don’t Miss Fair Trade Rain Forest Nut
Buttery, rich flavors of nuts combined with a fragrant vanilla and the sweet overtones of caramel and cashews blend in a delightful cup. This has been a long time favorite with Green Mountain coffee fans. One writes that she’s been buying it for over ten years and loves the ‘nutty’ flavors of cashew and Brazil nuts. This coffee is available in bags of whole beans, ground roast, and in K-Cups to be used in your Keurig single cup coffee maker.
This is a Fair Trade coffee and the beans are produced by farmers in co-ops in Northern Peru. However, many of these Peruvian workers have been drawn away from their usual jobs in the coffee co-operatives by the high wages paid by a government project for re-building a road. The co-operatives were very short on seasonal workers at their busy coffee harvesting time. So the co-ops joined together in the ancient Andean spirit of ‘ayni’ and took turns helping each other. They rotated, working on first one coffee farm, then moving on to the next, harvesting the beans and, by working together, they got the big job done. The co-op dedicated two large trucks to pick up all the coffee from the different co-ops and deliver it for sale to the coffee importer, Green Mountain.
This has been one of the very first Fair Trade coffees packaged by Green Mountain and is reflective of the company’s stewardship program of support for farmer cooperatives. It is committed to improving the quality of life in coffee producing countries by supporting projects that help develop independence, self-sufficiency, and empowerment. Many of these programs contribute to the improvement of the education, safety, and health of coffee growing communities.
Single Serve Coffee at www.singleservecoffee.com wrote about Rain Forest Nut, saying “…it has a rich flavor- almost a strong vanilla note and tastes of caramel as well. By itself and without the cream, you get a hint of the flavor but by adding cream and sugar, the Rain forest Nut flavors really come out. The reviewer continues, “The other thing we really like about the Rain Forest Nut? It tastes real. It doesn’t have a syrup or artificial taste to it. It also lingers in your mouth and as the coffee cools down, delivers a very similar taste each sip you take.”
Don’t miss the great flavor of Fair Trade Rain Forest Nut. It’s a tribute to the farmers who raise the coffee on their tiny farms and work in co-operative efforts to improve their lives and those of their family. It’s also a tribute to Green Mountain Coffee , who works to support the coffee farmers and bring a higher quality product to you!
I love waking up to the smell of this k-cup in my Keurig B70 in the am.

The raves for the Keurig single cup coffee makers are growing and sales are increasing as more and more people decide “This is for me!’ Keurig is the leader in the rapidly growing single cup coffee industry and the Keurig brewers are rated #1 for durability and reliability. All four of the Keurig single cup machines use the same highly rated brewing mechanism, so the only price difference is due to the various features on each machine
You can’t beat the convenience of a single cup coffee maker! There’s no more grinding coffee beans, no filters or messy grounds and a great cup of coffee is ready in less than a minute. All of the Keurig brewers use K-cups, each of which contains a measured portion of coffee, perfect for one cup. A K-Cup is similar to an individual coffee creamer but it contains vacuum packed coffee, sealed for freshness, keeping out the light and oxygen. Just pop a K-Cup into your Keurig brewer, press a button, and your coffee is ready in less than 60 seconds.
Many people, after looking at the different single cup coffee makers on the market today, choose Keurig because of the great selection of coffees. You can choose a Newman’s Own Organic Extra Bold Coffee for a rich, full bodied cup, or go with a more mellow Mocha Java or Kona Blend or maybe a bright Kenya AA Roast. Then, there are richly flavored coffees like Ballaccino’s Blueberry Cobbler or Cinnamon Stick. Enjoy Emeril’s Vanilla Cream or Green Mountain’s Hazelnut or their Southern Pecan blend . There are over 200 different coffees, teas and cocoas now in the patented K-Cups. You can select coffee from top notch roasters like Tully’s, Timothys, Green Mountain, Gloria Jean or Diedrich’s . Recently Emeril, The Coffee People and Caribou Coffee have begun offering some of their customer favorite blends in K-Cups.
There are also teas from Celestial Seasonings, Twinings, Bigelow, and Gloria Jean, as well as a variety of cocoas, including Timothy’s White Hot Chocolate. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters just came out with a Dark Chocolate and a creamy Milk Chocolate Cocoa. Soon to come will be a Chai Latte, a Cafe Mocha, and French Vanilla Café-au-Lait. So it’s easy to see – you can enjoy an endless variety of roasts and blends – without having to buy endless bags of coffee beans.
